Century Of Light

Century of Light (Acrylic on Canvas) by Baha'i-inspired artist Jacqueline Claire is now infusing joy and spiritual realism into our home here in PA. Jacqueline notes on her website https://www.jacquelineclaireart.com/:

"I do my best to let the art guide me to what it wants to become - that way whatever message or feeling is delivered to a viewer is special and intended for them. The process of creating is my teacher."

For me, Jacqueline's painting hearkens to sentiments of hope, expectation, patience and a yearning for a world of filled with peace, unity and justice. But this yearning is rooted in the Baha'i conviction that mankind's peaceful future is not just possible but inevitable. An official statement from the Baha'i community proclaims:

The Great Peace towards which people of goodwill throughout the centuries have inclined their hearts, of which seers and poets for countless generations have expressed their vision, and for which from age to age the sacred scriptures of mankind have constantly held the promise, is now at long last within the reach of the nations. For the first time in history it is possible for everyone to view the entire planet, with all its myriad diversified peoples, in one perspective. World peace is not only possible but inevitable. - The Universal House of Justice

These are my initial feelings and thoughts about Century Of Light. Overtime, I am sure this work will inspire me and my family (and visitors to our home) with a spectrum of ideas and perspectives about the painting. I am extremely grateful to Jacqueline for her love and encouragement.
